haven't seen too many posts lately, so i'll liven up the tribe with one!
This upcoming month of May I will truly be a "busy bird!" Every weekend I am booked for Dj gigs! Some new venues, along with other "usual suspects." Make sure that you attend at least one because in June I'll be going to Los Angeles for a few weeks. In other great news, I'll be back on the web doing a hour-long radio show starting on May 3rd! I think that I will also revive my podcasts for "extras" that don't make it into the show...

Rambla Catalunya 2-4, Barcelona - (Write me about being on the guest list)
City Hall is Otto Zutz’s venue right by Plaza Catalunya. There are 2 rooms, downstairs is minimal & progressive house and I’ll be upstairs playing acid-jazz, funk & hiphop. THIS ONE IS IMPORTANT - It's my first time playing for the Otto Zutz group and people from their organization will be there specifically to see how the crowd responds to me. If this goes well, I could be playing a few of their locations on some regular basis...

I've been invited to do an hour show for the world-wide network of We Take No Requests Radio (WTNR.) They have hosts from various locations all over the planet. I will have an hour each Saturday to share the music that moves me. The show can be listened to from 6am until 2pm every Saturday starting the 3rd. The most current show plays first when you log on and then archived shows of mine will play randomly until you log off.

I’ve been invited to guest at the weekly Sunday gathering of the "funk soul brothers & sisters" of Barcelona. Sounds like a church, I know, but it feels more like a Sunday BBQ. Nice bar, nice people, great music. THIS ONE IS IMPORTANT - It's my first time playing for the members of this "crew." They are the heart of the Barcelona funk/soul/breakbeat (or more accurately "non-house/minimal") scene. If you love funk, soul and other funky music this is one of the best places to hear it...

Swooping into the city to drop bombs (of the funky sort!) The music will be mixed, but expect mucho con marcha (i.e., funk, house, etc.!) The cocktails are legendary here (and award-winning) plus they even have some sans alcohol worth trying!
